"...I can do all the things that were part of my previous life..."

Dear Andre,
...thank you for the way you have helped my recovery from my "frozen shoulder". When i was first diagnosed my doctor told me that I had done “quite a job on myself"...He was not hopeful of a complete recovery. I was unable to lift my left arm above waist level when first diagnosed, sleeping at night was painful and I could no longer swim laps or fasten my clothes from the back-all activities achieved easily some months before. Within a couple of months of your guidance, exercise and physical manipulation, I can do all the things that were part of my previous life, including lap swimming. I no longer have any pain and...am amazed at my progress. Your encouragement, skill, and understanding attitude has helped in my healing. I unhesitatingly recommend Aloha PT to anyone who has a problem that could benefit from physical therapy.

"...Building my strength, flexibility and balance..."

When I was diagnosed with '50 shoulder' (frozen shoulder) a couple years ago, I figured it was just the start of an inevitable decline. Aloha Physical Therapy helped me regain full mobility much sooner than my orthopedist predicted. Since then Aloha PT has worked with me to be proactive in building my strength, flexibility and balance to avoid future injury and stay as active as I want to.
Thanks Andre!

"...Everyone at Aloha Physical Therapy is professional as well as friendly..."

I am quite indebted to my orthopedic surgeon for referring me to André Botha of Aloha Physical Therapy. I needed to regain strength following rotator cuff shoulder surgery – a challenge given my history of six recent surgeries and my 71 years! My surgeon, the highly regarded Morris Mitsunaga, MD, of the Bone and Joint Clinic of Hawaii, knew that I wanted to resume recreational sea kayaking as soon as possible and would need the best help available. During my first session at Aloha Physical Therapy I sensed that I was experiencing something new – later I realized that that “something” was total trust. Something about André’s approach allowed me to completely relax. That can be a challenge when someone new is manipulating a sensitive neck and shoulder! I subsequently realized that the what I was experiencing was simple but rare: expert technique. Just as technique is transparent but vital to a pianist’s performance or gymnast’s routine, technique is an invisible but all-important factor in physical therapy. Perhaps André’s technique has many sources, but certainly his mastery of the MacKenzie Method is central, as he holds the highest level of certification from this world-renowned practioner and teacher. I’ve subsequently received various treatments from Andre from neck to toe – literally – and all with excellent results! Office procedures are also important these days, and I can say that everyone at with Aloha Physical Therapy is professional as well as friendly. Every effort is made to accommodate work and travel schedules. Paperwork and communications with physicians and insurance providers is always timely and correct. In summary, I am a highly satisfied patient and highly recommend Aloha Physical Therapy to my friends, whether for initial consultation or ongoing treatment.

"...I find that my performances can improve..."

Andre Botha spent time with me trying to understand how my body reacts in a performance situation, when the stress and tension can be at a high level. I chose to visit him because the medical attention I received from doctors did not provide much help. The latter could not spend too much time with me, instead sending me for a quick x-ray. Thanks to Andre, I find that my performances can improve from knowing how to alleviate tightness while playing my instrument.
